Nadeen Almubarak is a CDA-registered Psychologist in Dubai and a Registered Psychotherapist in Ontario, Canada, with more than 10 years of experience supporting adults navigating complex psychological and relational experiences. She holds a Master of Education specializing in Counselling Psychology from the University of Ottawa and is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. At CAYA World Clinic, Nadeen provides individual psychotherapy to adults, with a particular focus on narcissistic abuse, relational trauma, intimate-partner violence, war-related trauma, sexual assault, childhood sexual abuse, and other forms of childhood trauma. She also facilitates therapeutic and psychoeducational support groups. Nadeen works fluently in Arabic and English.
Nadeen's clinical experience spans private practice, community mental health, crisis intervention, and virtual counselling across Canada and the UAE. In Ottawa, she worked with diverse communities, including refugees and newcomers, supporting individuals affected by trauma, abuse, depression, anxiety, and significant life transitions. Her experience includes working with survivors of intimate-partner violence and sexual assault, providing crisis counselling, facilitating support groups, and delivering trauma-focused training to frontline service providers. She has also held supervisory roles, offering clinical consultation and mentoring counsellors, and supporting the development of culturally responsive and anti-racist approaches to mental health care.
Nadeen's therapeutic approach draws on trauma-informed care, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and attachment-based approaches. She is particularly interested in how relationships, life experiences, cultural contexts, values, and beliefs shape the ways people understand themselves and navigate the world. In her work with survivors of trauma and abuse, she recognises the lasting effects these experiences can have on a person's sense of self, relationships, and understanding of safety and trust.
She approaches therapy as a collaborative process, creating space for clients to make sense of their experiences without judgment, reconnect with their strengths and values, and explore possibilities for change. Her practice is grounded in cultural humility and a commitment to making psychological support responsive to the diverse experiences and circumstances of the people she works with.
