Christina Tawdrous is a CDA-licensed Psychologist at CAYA World Clinic with more than thirteen years of international experience across Canada and the UAE. She provides individual, couples, and group therapy to adults, adolescents, and children, including children with autism and other neurodivergent profiles, and works in Arabic and English. Her practice is warm, collaborative, and culturally responsive, grounded in the belief that everyone deserves a safe space to be genuinely seen and heard.
She works with a broad range of concerns, including anxiety, low mood and mood-related difficulties, relationship and family challenges, workplace stress and burnout, and life transitions, drawing on evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioural therapy, person-centred therapy, and Gottman Method couples therapy. Across every session she takes time to understand each person's story and cultural context, tailoring her support rather than applying a single fixed model.
Christina's career spans private practice, autism and developmental services, and school-based counselling. For over seven years she supported children and adolescents with autism and related developmental needs, focusing on emotional regulation, communication, and social and adaptive skills, and she has provided individual and group counselling for children and young people navigating mood, anxiety, and adjustment difficulties. This breadth allows her to meet clients of many ages and needs with genuine understanding and practical, evidence-informed care.
Christina believes that meaningful change begins with feeling understood. Her style is warm, non-judgemental, and collaborative, creating a safe and confidential space where clients can explore what feels overwhelming and work at a pace that feels right for them. She pays close attention to each person's cultural background and lived experience, integrating that context into how she understands their concerns and shapes their care.
Drawing on evidence-based methods and more than a decade of clinical experience across diverse settings, she helps people build healthier coping strategies, strengthen relationships, and move toward the lives they want. Whether working with an individual, a couple, or a family, her focus is on practical, lasting change built on a strong and trusting therapeutic relationship.
