Carine Mattar is a DHA-licensed Clinical Psychologist at CAYA World Clinic with more than seven years of experience in clinical psychology, mental health and psychosocial support, and humanitarian settings. She holds a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik and has extensive experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families across clinical and community-based settings. She works fluently in Arabic, English, and French.

Carine specializes in working with children and adolescents experiencing emotional, behavioral, and psychological difficulties, while also supporting parents and caregivers in understanding and responding to their children's needs. Her clinical experience includes psychological assessments, individual therapy, caregiver guidance, behavioral support, and collaboration with schools and multidisciplinary teams. She also works with adults experiencing anxiety, trauma-related concerns, emotional difficulties, and life transitions.

Carine is passionate about creating a safe, warm, and non-judgmental therapeutic environment where children and adolescents can express themselves freely and develop a stronger understanding of their emotions and behaviors. She believes in working collaboratively with families, recognizing the important role that parents and caregivers play in supporting a child's psychological wellbeing.

Her therapeutic approach is integrative and client-centered, drawing on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, psychoeducation, play-based interventions, and other evidence-informed approaches adapted to the developmental stage and individual needs of each client.
