Insurance and payment.

How payment works at CAYA World Clinic, and how we support your insurance reimbursement claim.

How Payment Works

CAYA World Clinic is a private, self-pay clinic. We do not have direct billing arrangements with insurance companies, and we are not part of any insurer's clinic network.

You pay for each session directly. If your health insurance policy includes outpatient mental health cover, you may be able to claim the cost back from your insurer afterwards. This is known as pay-and-claim.

The Pay-and-Claim Process
  1. Attend and pay. You pay for your session at the clinic.
  2. We prepare your claim documents. We give you a claim form completed and stamped by the clinic, together with an itemised invoice. The invoice includes the details insurers typically ask for, such as the clinician's name, DHA licence number, and date of service.
  3. You submit to your insurer. You send the documents to your insurance company, which reviews the claim under your policy's outpatient mental health benefits and reimburses you according to your cover.
Before Your First Session: Check Your Cover

Every policy is different. Some plans cover outpatient psychology sessions in full or in part, some cover only psychiatry, and some exclude mental health entirely. Reimbursement is decided by your insurer under your policy terms, not by the clinic, so we cannot guarantee that a claim will be paid.

Questions worth asking your insurer before booking:

  • Does my plan cover outpatient mental health, including sessions with a psychologist?
  • Do I need a GP referral or pre-approval before starting?
  • What percentage of the session cost is reimbursed, and is there an annual limit?
  • Are psychological assessments covered as well as therapy sessions?

Insurance Questions
We do not offer direct billing. CAYA World Clinic is a self-pay clinic that works on a pay-and-claim basis: you pay for your sessions, and we provide a claim form completed and stamped by the clinic together with an itemised invoice, so you can claim reimbursement from your insurer if your policy covers outpatient mental health.
Pay-and-claim means you pay the clinic directly for each session and then submit a claim to your own insurance company for reimbursement. The insurer reviews the claim under your policy's outpatient mental health benefits and pays you back according to your cover.
You receive a claim form completed and stamped by the clinic, plus an itemised invoice that includes the details insurers typically require, such as the clinician's name, DHA licence number, and date of service.
That depends on your policy. Some plans cover outpatient psychology sessions fully or partially, some cover only psychiatry, and some exclude mental health. The reimbursement decision sits with your insurer under your policy terms, so we cannot guarantee that a claim will be paid. We recommend checking your outpatient mental health benefits before booking.
Some policies require a GP referral or prior approval before therapy starts. Check this with your insurer before your first session. If your insurer asks for supporting documentation, we can provide it.
